On Monday 20th July, our Year 2 children performed their Leavers’ Assembly. It was a wonderful celebration of their time at Hilltop Infant School and I needed tissues to help me get through the whole performance. Many thanks to all of the Year 2 staff and to Mrs Walter who helped prepare the children so well. How confident they were!
Our final assembly of the term gave us the opportunity to say goodbye as a school to all the special members of our community who were leaving us. We sent all our Year 2 children on their way to their new schools; their Year 3 teachers will be very lucky indeed to receive this wonderful group of children. We were also able to say goodbye to Harry and Georgina who are moving on to other schools.
During assembly, Class 3 (disguised as Minions) said farewell to Mrs Mead, Miss Giblin’s Class shared their knowledge of the Irish they have learned from her and also said goodbye in verse. Class 8 sang to Miss Sully and made us laugh. Thank you to the Teaching Assistants who helped the children to prepare for this assembly.
We send them all off with a special dusting of Hilltop Love
